Women In Motion - Louisiana
Women in Motion–Louisiana (also know as WIM-LA) is a council of the Louisiana Motor Transport Association created to connect and empower women across Louisiana’s transportation industry. Open to women in all roles, WIM-LA provides opportunities to build relationships, share experience, and support professional growth within LMTA and the broader trucking community.
Our Mission
Women in Motion–Louisiana exists to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for women in transportation, with a focus on advocacy, mentorship, collaboration, education, professional development, and meaningful networking.
What to Expect
As a council of LMTA, Women in Motion–Louisiana focuses on strengthening connections among women in the transportation industry and encouraging engagement at all career stages. Programming and activities are designed to provide practical value, peer support, and opportunities for involvement throughout the year.
Membership Information
Active LMTA membership is required to join Women in Motion–Louisiana. Membership dues are assessed per individual, not per company, and are based on your company’s LMTA membership category.

Trucking Members (Individual, Domiciled, and Non-Domiciled): $100 annually per person

Allied Members: $150 annually per person
Eligibility is determined by your company’s LMTA membership status. Questions regarding membership affiliation may be directed to lmta@lmta.la.
Additional National Benefits
n addition to the relationships and opportunities within our local chapter, your WIM-LA membership also provides access to national Women In Motion resources through the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
These resources include, but are not limited to
- Job Board Access: Members can utilize the national job board to post openings within their organizations and connect with qualified talent across the industry.
- WIM Recognizes Awards: A national recognition program celebrating women making an impact in trucking and logistics.
- We encourage our Louisiana women to be nominated and recognized—such as last year’s honoree, Jo Helen Eaton, CFO of United Vision Logistics, proudly representing the strength, leadership, and excellence coming out of Louisiana.
- Peer Groups: Structured peer networking groups designed for professional growth and shared learning.
- Access to national events and programming: Designed to elevate your professional growth, expand your network, and ensure Louisiana women are represented and recognized at the national level.

- Select “Login” in the upper right corner and utilize the same email address that you used to register for the LA Chapter of WIM with the LMTA. Follow the prompts to set up your username and password to gain full access to the resources.
