Allison Strahan
Allison has been with the Louisiana Motor Transport Association (LMTA) since May of 2019 and was named Associate Director in 2024. In this role, she helps manage the association’s operations, oversees event planning and execution, and supports LMTA’s advocacy, communications, and member engagement efforts.
Allison graduated from Louisiana State University in December 2018 with a degree in Mass Communications and a concentration in public relations. She previously worked as a graphic designer for the LSU AgCenter, where she discovered and cultivated her passion for visual communication.
At LMTA, Allison continues to lead the design of the association’s marketing and promotional materials, manages LMTA’s website, email communications, and social media channels, and serves as Managing Editor of Open Road magazine. She also plays a key role in producing the annual Membership Directory and other member-facing publications.
Originally from Franklinton, Louisiana in rural Washington Parish, Allison moved to Baton Rouge in 2014. She enjoys using creativity to promote Louisiana’s trucking industry and is passionate about supporting the members who keep it moving. She currently lives in Baton Rouge with her beloved furbaby, Arya.
Burton Comeaux
Burton has been with LMTA since March of 2021. After serving in the U.S. Army for six years, he left the service and entered the private sector. He entered the field of restaurant operations and was a district manager with ten locations in the Baton Rouge market. He left operations management and started in the bookkeeping field in 2007. An interesting fact about Burton is that at one time he carried a CDL and drove over the road for a bit, so he is no stranger to the trucking industry!
As Accounting Director, Burton maintains payroll, accounts payable and receivables for the association, as well as, the TruckPAC and Louisiana Household Goods Carriers’ Association. Burton also maintains all event and sponsorship invoicing for the organization.
In the past Burton was a competitive trap shooter and won the 1999 Louisiana State Trap “Class C” Singles Championship and was runner up in the handicap competition.
