The LMTA Foundation

The LMTA Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit that is geared toward improving highway safety through various efforts including workforce development and educational efforts for members of the public and the trucking industry. The Foundation was created in 2013 with the initial goal of providing scholarships to encourage growth in workforce, and also includes administration services for the Louisiana Trucking Research and Education Council.

This webpage exists to assist and promote public engagement with the Council as it conducts its work pursuant to Act 314 of the 2019 Regular Legislative Session. Meeting notices and other documents will be available here.



Meeting: July 14, 2020

This meeting will take place Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Louisiana Motor Transport Association Office located at 4838 Bennington Avenue in Baton Rouge Louisiana. The meeting is open to all members of the public and will last from 10:00 am to noon.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a limited number of seats in the main conference room. MASK are REQUIRED at all times during the meeting, and social distancing will be enforced. There is an option to join the meeting via conference call, we ask that all those interested fill out the form here.
